An enthusiastic Irish member of the famous UK based River Cottage has launched our very own Irish forum. So if you are interested in living a sustainable life and striving for an eco sensitive lifestyle jump aboard the Irish Country Talk & Tips forum with the rest of us. There are already some great links and contacts given (I've just emailed somebody in Galway who breeds pigs!). Whether you are doing it, thinking about it or simply interested to read up on the topic come along and join us. The more the merrier. There will hopefully even be a gathering of Irish members next summer at a venue yet to be decided.
This is great. The RC has such a fantastic website and I am appalled that Hugh F-W has not been offered some sort of knighthood/nobel/OBE for his services to the countryside and the promotion of seasonal eating. One day!
Merry Christmas. I'm glad Dan did well at the fair and hopefully the babies are feeling better now.

Well I may be in London rather than Ireland, but still looks a very good and interesting site. Hope it's successful

If you get pigs I'll be so jealous! but I'll live with it if you promise to post lots of pictures! I've always wanted to own 2 pigs along with a duck pond inhabited with Indian runners and white geese - maybe one day!

Thanks for the link to Irish foram, I joined and have found some really interesting topics going.
We kept pigs a few years ago here in France, I have to say we had the most fun ever with them, pigs are so clever and funny, not so funny when they went though.!!
cheers, love your blog.
