Each autumn I plant a few bulbs in the garden assisted by my little helpers.
This year I got some more daffodil, bluebell, wood anenome, cyclamen and crocus bulbs in. Heres hoping they bloom next spring and don't just rot in the soggy ground!
Embracing a sustainable lifestyle in a rural Irish farmhouse; making mistakes, learning and offering our knowledge to others
All those pictures of the children busy at work in the garden are inspiring me to give ours a little TLC. I might give the garlic a go, you make it sound so easy (have not had much success with veg). I love gardening but I'm afraid to say I am very much a fair weather gardener. It gets neglected from about Oct through to March.

The flowers and gardens of Ireland are sights I will never forget. I wish I got the green thumb from my Irish ancestors.

I've not had much luck with bulbs, it's just too dry here. Good luck.

Julie, I love my trusty trowel, is that sad??!
Maddy, too soggy here too dry there!
A Beth, not much fairweather here to wait for I'm afraid, landscapes make up for it though, don't they VallenQueen.
Kristin, what are paperwhites ... they sound divine.
