Sand Lizard

Trawwee Beach, Co Sligo has a wild beauty and an abundance of rock fossils. Last week we spent a blustery afternoon there, but admittedly there was the odd patch of sunshine. Oblivious to the elements our children ran naked in and out of the sea for two hours! Is that stupidity, mind over matter or just an insatiable appetite for adventure and fun that renders children immune to the weather? Sometimes I find myself about to caution their wild childish behaviour, but then I just think ‘feck it’, and join in! And no I didn’t run naked on the beach for 2 hours with my children, but I did roll up my trousers to indulge in some good old fashioned wave jumping with them!
